Here are more swrarepairs fics I've read and enjoyed!

Flustered - canon divergent, obianidala. SUPER sweet, and I just love the sheer hopefulness of this fic. The galaxy isn't perfect, but they're fighting to make it better!

Greater Good - canon divergent, obianidala, but this has basically the exact opposite tone of the previous fic, lol. Evil Padmé is terrifying (and hot).

Ostinato - canon divergent(?), Kylo/Qi'ra. This is amazing.

Inhuman Intelligence - canonverse, Original Imperial Engineer Furious the Empire Destroyed Scarif Archive/Original Rebel Recruiter. Oh my god, I just love the dry humor in this.

she was alive (she was caught on fire) - canon divergent, Oola/Luke Skywalker. Just lovely. Let's pretend this actually happened.

This or Nothing At All - canonverse, gingerpilot. I love this. Their ridiculous relationship, made poignant. And that ending!

search parties - canon divergent, Ben Organa/Rose Tico. This is SUCH a great pairing and it's PERFECT here.

Knight Amidala - canon divergent, Padmé/Obi-Wan, Padmé lives. There is so much to love about this story. Padmé and Obi-Wan's relationship alone is incredible, but then there's everything else. A brilliant AU.

I didn't realize that gingerpilot was a rare pair. I mean, I know it's not *common*, but. Huh. Well, that's probably my favorite. :) I just read This or Nothing at All a little bit ago. :)

A lot of us in kylux like it enough that it seems like it shouldn't be rare! And yet.

The Rare Pairs rules are the pairing/"moresome" must have "fewer than 250 fics on AO3 that are completed, in English, and over one thousand words." I just did a search and gingerpilot is at 248 fics that meet those criteria. So barely scraping in, haha. If you remove the wordcount minimum and completed status requirements, there are 402 fics. If you remove the English requirement, it's 449.

What's not to like? Who doesn't like Poe? Everyone likes Poe! And then the press Oscar and Domhnall did for Ex Machina... they've got great chemistry (which would be why I delved into rpf momentarily for them).

...and looks like gingerpilot won't get to be part of the exchange next time. Alas.

I don't remember where I found that icon. :( . (why the heck didn't i credit a maker in the comments? ...maybe I made it? it's possible i did from fanart. but i didn't even credit the artist. ugh)

There was a gingerpilot Thing of some sort a couple months ago, but it apparently was really small and seems i forgot to follow the tumblr that was running/organizing. oops.

Poor gngerpilot.

And I don't actually use very many of them. I have a seed account, so I think I still have 63 more icon slots. :) I'd like to add more icons to reflect current fannishness, but. Well. That means going out and looking for new icons or making them myself, and I just. Ugh. Took forever to get the donut stuff, like I've had them less than a year, I think. And how long have I been a donut fan? nearly four years. Of course, that comes of not using dw anywhere near as much as I used to.

Did I have a point? ;)
